Mrs.Towberman's
K4 Classroom
Welcome to our classroom where the magic never stops and the adventure never ends!
Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Towberman
Hello! My name is Mrs. Valerie Towberman. I have the privilege of teaching the K4 class at WBA. This is my 15th year teaching. I am also a 1985 graduate of WBA.

Let me introduce you to my family. My husband Jeff is also a 1986 graduate of WBA. We have been married for 31 years. I have 3 children all of whom have also graduated from WBA. Michael (26), Kelly (25) her husband Karl and their precious baby girl Miya, and Ashley (21).

My ministry here in our class consists of helping these little ones to learn to love God and to love their friends, learn how to play and share, and be kind to one another. Along with these foundations, we can learn our letters, how to read, how to count, how to write, and other important 4 year old "academics".

We are going to have so much fun in learning! I am excited to get this year started!

Dear Parents,
The reading groups are enjoying their time in reading circles. As we finish a reader, we will bring home our books to read to Mom and Dad. Have them practice by reading to you as often as possible. What a wonderful opportunity to spend time reinforcing what they have learned in school. Also keep practicing those blends!
We have also begun learning how to write our names. Many children come to K4 writing their names in all capital letters. But we are learning to capitalize the first letter and lowercase for the rest of the letters. We have practiced in class and from now on they will be writing their own name on their papers.
This is very exciting for them!
Only 32 K4 school days left this year! Our year has gone by so fast—your little ones will be off to K5 before you know it. I hope everyone in this class will be able to come back here next year for school. I have only laid a small foundation. Miss Scholze will give them a solid foundation to start their academic years off right.
I know K5 fills up fast, so be sure to register as soon as possible!
